Saddam Ibrahim Questions the Meaning and Implications of the Name JIBWIS

Saddam Ibrahim, in his Facebook post below, questions the name JIBWIS, arguing that it is problematic:

Shi kansa sunan JIBWIS din is problematic.

Jama'atu Izalatil Bid'ah Wa Iqamatus Sunnah, meaning the Society for Eradication or Removal of Innovation and the Establishment of the Sunnah.

It is a movement for the enforcement or imposition of "their" Sunnah, as though they possess constitutional authority in Nigeria to enforce their interpretation of the Sunnah and eradicate "bid’ah" which means forcing others to abandon their religious rituals or practices because "they" have labelled them as "bidah"

How do you eradicate innovation? Humanity progresses through innovation.

How do you establish the Sunnah in a secular state?

The Nigerian government should either ban this group or compel it to change its name and mandate.
